Executive Coaching • Strategic Advising

How you navigate relationships determines if you succeed or fail.

You already know this to a certain level.

This specifically applies to change: how you respond to, prepare for, and even resist change affects your results, bottom line, achievements, experiences – everything.

And change is happening throughout your entire workday, and probably in your personal life as well. Changes have been happening all along. But how are you choosing to approach, integrate, and work with change?

This is one of the gaps that coaches and mentors don’t identify or approach at all.

Discovering and working with better information about yourself regarding change makes for better, smoother, more profitable relationships with all who encounter you.

When you see your relationships –and your responses– from a new angle, one that is more personal to you and creates an environment that is more reflective of reality for you, you’ll be able to move your business forward faster, with better results.

If you’re not paying attention to all your relationships, your bottom line suffers.

This can include your relationship to those you work with, and even those you love. It’s time to broaden your definition of relationships: we’re going beyond human relationships to explore your relationship with culture, money, values, etc. because relationships drive results.

The quality of your relationships = the quality of your outcomes.

Before working with Kathy, my mind was always making decisions like I was making a business decision.

I’ve done many other evaluations and exercises that offer to help you understand yourself better. While it’s one thing to learn about who you are, it’s an entirely different thing to be able to develop from it, and beyond it.

Kathy helped me apply my new insights to the real world situations I was dealing with in both my business and my personal life.

I’ve been a Vistage member for a long time and noticed I was getting more out of (my membership) than before, when I had always tried to process things in that setting in the “business frame of mind”.

I’m now bringing my personal mindset into things and connecting to everything better.

She does not overprocess/overthink… nor does she let clients go that way either.

About Kathy Clayton

Kathy’s approach is thoughtful, inspired and deeply effective.
She intentionally slows the pace, and deepens the conversation and exploration.

She:

  • Brings an intensely curious presence;
  • Holds the coaching container in a way that feels spacious, yet personal;
  • Asks provocative, transformative questions; and
  • Delivers both honest reflections and rapid insights.

Your time and investment yield a meaningful, lasting outcome for you personally, plus an experience that moves everything, everyone, and the business, forward.

There are plenty of business, process, and operations coaches out there. That’s not our work here. Instead, this engagement is inclusive of you.

Working with Kathy you’ll discover and uncover more about the whole person behind your position, role, title, and how you respond to change, so real, long-lasting, meaningful impact can happen with ease, and in harmony for you, the leader, and, all who follow.

Critical components Kathy brings include: deep listening, witnessing, observing, and seeing, so the authentic person, plus their voice and actions, emerge.

Kathy is one of the very few people in my life that will give me the honest truth. She makes me feel safe but also will help me look in the mirror.

She has incredible empathy and compassion; she is super sharp and funny. She is a fantastic listener. She makes coaching sessions fun. I always walk away feeling better, inspired, challenged, and motivated.

Kathy offers great perspective and has a way of turning situations on their heads or around and then offering a different way to look at things.

She is also able to simplify things that at first seem complex.

She quickly gets to the heart of the issue by asking the right questions.

Philosophy & Process

Implementing & Activating the Knowledge You Have

Most business leaders have a lot of information they don’t know what to do with. It’s valuable, yes. But how is it being applied? Integrated? Leveraged?

For virtually all of the professionals Kathy works with, at the beginning, their valuable information and knowledge is under-utilized.

This is not satisfying, efficient or effective for you the individual or you the leader… and it’s a big part of what’s missing.

“You handicap yourself if you don’t understand who you are and how to apply that knowledge.”

-Kathy Clayton

Beyond That…

What’s also needed is the practice of actively implementing that knowledge in the right place and space, and at the right time.

This is uncomfortable.

There is wobble.

Learning to navigate through the wobble is the work. It’s done in real time because what it creates is your best personal state of Dynamic Equilibrium.

Dynamic Equilibrium Is Your Own Highly Effective & Sustainable State of Being

With it, effortlessness and presence is available and easy. You have the energy, time, capacity and space required for your optimal, authentic days.

Not sessions, not workdays… days.

Both business and personal.

Without it, your presence is diminished, and your bottom line is affected.

You’re not wrong, you’ve been encouraged to hustle, solve, ship, and repeat. Faster and faster.

The crux is, it’s led to pushing or trying too hard (efforting too much) at the wrong times, in the wrong places, with the wrong people.

Specifically and especially, you.

So, You Go First

It’s time to discover how much of your unconscious mind is currently driving your results, experiences, and relationships, especially the one with yourself.

Established leaders know there is a different approach and a more integrated experience to coaching, mentoring, and advising.

Kathy coaches you to bring forward your best results, including a deep satisfaction and a sense of alignment that you’ll be able to easily access, amplify, and modify at will.

Kathy’s familiarity with the tools I already had and her ability to provide me new ones that complemented them. The work we did really helped me tune in better to my own instincts and to trust myself more.

Kathy conducts our sessions in a manner where she is able to hold the context together well, in that there is no drop-off between sessions. She starts every session picking up right where we left off making it feel far more productive and seamless while not having to rehash things left from the previous session.

She has the ability to hold context in a global way and can tie things together that I can’t because I am so close to the business.
